The Canada Media Fund wants to keep applicants informed of funding decisions and results throughout the year. The database below contains projects that have been announced during the current fiscal year and all funded projects from prior years. New results will be added as they are published. There are two types of announcements: Funding Decisions and Funding Results.
Requesting data from the Canada Media Fund (CMF)
The Canada Media Fund may provide additional information on funded projects upon request. Please read the data request guidelines at this link.
Funding Decisions indicate the selection of projects which have qualified for the CMF support but have yet to finalize all contracts. Only programs using a selective, competitive process to allocate funding are subject to a funding decision. These selective programs are: Experimental Stream, Aboriginal, English POV, Francophone Minority, and Diverse Languages. A Funding Decision is posted on our website when decisions become available. Please note that there is one decision per application closing date. The decisions and funding commitments posted on the website are preliminary, as all requests must undergo a contracting process. Funding is not final until contracts are signed.
Funding results indicate approved and contracted applications for all convergent and experimental stream programs. The funding results are published on a quarterly basis.
We rely on industry experts to contribute to the evaluation of leading-edge Canadian interactive productions.

Nearly two years have passed since the first season. Frédérique is still down and out as she tries to make a living in the world of rap. The path is long and full of uncertainty. However, she finds hope in her small successes, such as being featured in a song with a fashionable artist. While this is a great boost for her self-esteem, her bank account is still in the red. Self-confidence does not pay the rent or her daily needs as a single mother. Was she right to latch on? She’s now in her mid-thirties; has the ship sailed? Does she think that she’s still a teen? Talent is not enough to make a name for yourself in the industry. It’s all about playing the game—having a stage persona, looking sensational, staying up late and partying with the others. A lifestyle that burns the candle at all ends.

Bébéatrice doesn’t hold her tongue; she is critical of everything and is not open to debate. However, she can be loving, kind and sweet—but not all the time. ;-) Above all, Bébéatrice often has the last word when talking to Papa Guy who stands open-mouthed when faced with her comebacks. But Bébéatrice is not alone: Mamanie, Granny Suzanne and her older brother, Théo, also live in this young girl’s court.
