CMF, Shaw Rocket Fund select seven projects for nearly $3.7M in funding 

Toronto and Calgary, April 18, 2024 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and the Shaw Rocket Fund (SRF) today announced a $3,675,000 investment in seven projects through the 2023-2024 edition of the CMF-Shaw Rocket Fund Kids Digital Animated Series Program.  

Four of the selected projects will be produced in English, two in French, and the remaining one in both languages. Three of the successful applicants are established in Quebec, two in British Columbia, one in Ontario, and the last one in Nova Scotia. Each project will receive $525,000 in production funding, with the CMF providing two-thirds of the sum and the SRF the other third.  

The CMF-SRF Kids Digital Animated Series Program supports the production of Canadian short-form animated content on platforms where kids consume their content. Since the 2018 inception of the program, the CMF and the SRF invested more than $23M in 50 animated series that have both entertained and educated kids at home and abroad.
