Toronto, December 13 2018 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today that 31 projects would receive a total of $19.7M in funding through three of its programs. A total of $9.9 will be invested in 16 innovative digital media projects through the second round of funding of its Experimental Stream’s Innovation Program and an additional $6.6M are being invested in nine projects through the Commercial Projects Pilot Program.

Toronto/Belfast, December 6, 2018 - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Northern Ireland Screen announced today an investment of over CAD$198,000 to support the codevelopment of audiovisual content under the Canada-Northern Ireland Codevelopment Incentive for Audiovisual Projects. This is the first round of funding since the incentive was launched in June.

From the start, the channel garnered an impressive following and viewership rate. Today, as Encore+ marks its first year, nearly 30K YouTube users have subscribed to the channel and viewed curated, iconic Canadian content nearly 6.2M times.

Toronto, October 18, 2018 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today an investment of $9M to 43 projects that applied for funding through the 2018-2019 Convergent Digital Media Incentive. The Incentive is designed to encourage the production of digital media components that are related to CMF-funded television productions, so as to provide audiences with the opportunity to access content on different platforms.
