Toronto/São Paulo, December 1, 2020 - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Spcine, the agency responsible for media funding in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, launched a joint program that encourages codevelopment and prototyping of immersive media projects.

Toronto, November 13, 2020 — The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Shaw Rocket Fund (SRF) today announced they are renewing their partnership to fund the production of Canadian digital animated series for children and youth audiences that encourages the use of new technology. Applications for financing through this Program must be submitted to SRF by January 6, 2021.

Part of the Government of Canada’s Phase 2 COVID-19 Emergency Support designated for the cultural, heritage and sport sectors, a total of $19M are being made available through an Audiovisual Allocation.

This is part of the $27.8M in funding that was designated for Canada’s audiovisual sector as part of Phase 2 of the COVID-19 Emergency Support Fund for Cultural, Heritage and Sport Organizations by the Government of Canada.
