Montréal (Canada)/Mons (Belgium), June 3, 2015 – Today, at the Coming to Your Screens conference in Montréal, the Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced the renewal of its joint incentive with Wallimage (Wallonia, Belgium) for digital media coproductions among producers in both countries. The first agreement in 2014 supported three coproductions through a financing package totalling C$600,000.

The Canada Media Fund and Wallimage (Wallonia, Belgium) announced today an agreement to establish an incentive to encourage the codevelopment and coproduction of eligible interactive digital media projects between transatlantic producers.

The Canada-New Zealand Digital Media incentive has $1M CDN ($1.1M NZD) available in the 2014-2015 financial year to be allocated to approximately three eligible projects. Guidelines including details on the selection process will be announced on October 10 with a call for ideas.

The Canada Media Fund announced today that 10 Convergent Stream productions have been awarded $7.2M from the Francophone Minority Program which supports productions that reflect the realities and interests of French communities outside of Quebec.
