CMF delays announcement of 2025–2026 programs

During the federal election period, the Government of Canada's departments, agencies, and crown corporations are expected to abide by the Caretaker Convention. This protocol requires restraint in certain announcements and activities.

As a public-private partnership operating as a Department of Canadian Heritage program, and in respect of the spirit of the Caretaker Convention, the CMF is delaying the announcement of our 2025-2026 Program Budget, Broadcaster Envelope allocations, and Guidelines.

The release date will be announced at a later time.
