CMF funding partners invest C$794K in codevelopment projects with Luxembourg, Northern Ireland and South Africa

Toronto, January 12, 2022 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF), in partnership with three international funding organizations announced an investment of over C$794K in twelve codevelopment projects which applied for funding through CMF international incentives with Film Fund Luxembourg (FFL), Northern Ireland Screen (NIS) and South Africa’s National Film and Video Foundation.

Through the Canada-Luxembourg Co-Development and Co-Production Incentive for Audiovisual Projects, CMF and FFL are contributing over C$370K to the codevelopment of two digital media projects and two television projects. The two organizations started their partnership in 2018-2019 and have since invested just over C$2.5M in 12 projects. The CMF and NIS have since 2018-2019 invested close to C$600K in twelve television projects. Through this round of funding, both organizations will invest an additional C$231K in five codevelopment projects. Click here to find out more about these projects.

The CMF and the NFVF of South Africa partnered in 2017-2018 and have since invested close to C$800K in twelve television projects. All projects were evaluated and chosen by selection committees composed of representatives from CMF and each of its international funding partners.
