Due to high demand, the Alternative Access to the Performance Envelope Program for English-language broadcasters is no longer accepting applications.
—
Due to a high demand for the Quebec French Regional Production Incentive, the CMF will no longer be accepting applications for this program.
The objective of the Performance Envelope Program is to encourage partnerships between broadcasters and producers to create convergent content that Canadian audiences want to consume anytime, anywhere.
The majority of the CMF’s funding is disbursed through the Performance Envelope Program. As part of the CMF’s Convergent Stream, projects funded must include content to be developed for distribution on at least two platforms, one of which must be television.
Through this Program, the CMF allocates funding envelopes allocations to Canadian broadcasters in an amount that reflects their track record of supporting Canadian programming. Broadcasters commit these funds to Canadian projects that they believe will appeal to their viewers. Even though broadcasters receive a funding envelope allocation, the actual funding is paid directly to the Eligible Applicants according to a payment schedule.
