International incentives

The CMF is part of Canada’s strong funding ecosystem that fosters audiovisual content creation and encourages international coproduction.

Together, Canada’s coproduction treaties and the CMF’s financing provide opportunities for Canadian producers and their international counterparts to share resources and talent to tap into new markets. As consumers have growing access to content from all corners of the world, producers can benefit greatly from working together on the international front.

Current Incentives

Description

As creator of the series, That's Life, I'm excited to explore co-producing with Northern Ireland on this very personal project that is allowing me to explore my own Irish roots. My company consists of me and contracted employees for individual projects. I am a producer/writer and occasional director, and I focus on developing light drama that offers important roles for women of all ages. I presently have three television series at various stages of development as well as two feature scripts. I have written, directed, and produced several short films. I dabble in documentary film making because story is what drives all of my work, including the screenwriting workshops that I have been coordinating for sixteen years. I sit on the board of Women in Film and Television-Atlantic and I was instrumental in acquiring City Cinema, an independent movie theatre that now operates as a not-for-profit and is keeping the cinema experience alive at least in Prince Edward Island.
