$11.3M awarded to 19 interactive digital media projects

Toronto, January 10, 2018 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today that 19 interactive digital media projects received a total of $11.3M in funding as part of the second round of production support from the 2017-2018 Experimental Stream Innovation Program. 

Of the 19 productions, two are from British Columbia, one from Manitoba, eight from Ontario, and eight from Québec. Users will enjoy 12 games, five rich and interactive media, and two software applications.

The Experimental Stream encourages the creation of innovative, interactive digital media content and software applications. Including this latest round of funding, the CMF has invested more than $195.3M in the production of 345 interactive digital media projects since the Experimental Stream was created in 2010.

Production support provides funding for the creation of a final, market-ready, Canadian interactive digital media content and software applications that are innovative and leading-edge.
