16 projects receive $5.5M in support from the CMF’s English POV Program
Toronto, August 17, 2016 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today a contribution of $5.5M to 16 projects that applied for funding through the 2016-2017 English Point-of-View (POV) Program.
Twelve of the 16 approved projects have a digital media component, while one has a video on demand (VOD) component. A total of $4.2M are allocated to projects’ television components, while $1.3M will go to digital media and VOD components. One of the projects is from British Columbia, one from Manitoba, one from Nova Scotia, eight from Ontario and five from Québec. Since 2010, the CMF has provided more than $25.7M to 104 projects that received funding through the English POV program.
