17 projects receive support from the Canada Media Fund’s English Point of View Program

(Toronto, October 21, 2015) – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today a total contribution of $5.0M to 17 projects that applied to the Convergent Stream’s English POV Program dedicated to the production of point of view documentaries.

Of the 17 projects funded by the CMF, 13 have television and digital media components, two are television only, and two others are digital media projects only. One is from Alberta, one is from British Columbia, three are from Québec, 11 are from Ontario, and one is an interprovincial coproduction between Ontario and Québec. Since 2010, the CMF has provided more than $20.3 million to 86 projects that applied for POV funding through this program.
