$2.6 M contribution to 5 productions under Francophone Minority Program
(Toronto, November 3, 2015) The Canada Media Fund (CMF) today announced a total contribution of $2.6 M in funding to 5 convergent projects as part of the second round of financing under the Francophone Minority Program. This program supports productions which reflect the realities of living in French-language communities outside Quebec.
Of the 5 convergent projects, all of which have television and digital media components, one is from Manitoba and four are from Ontario. There is one documentary, 1 drama production, two children’s and youth productions, and one variety and performing arts.

The CMF has provided $67.3 M in funding to 174 projects in the program since 2010.
