Toronto (Canada), October 30, 2015 – Today, the Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Wallimage announced a contribution of CAD$400,000 to Riftworld: Heroes, a coproduction project funded as a result of the Canada – Wallonia Incentive for Digital Media Multiplatform Projects program. This announcement was made in the presence of Jean-Claude Marcourt, Vice-President of Wallonia - Belgium, Minister of Economy, Industry, Innovation and Digital during an economic mission in Toronto.

Both organizations will provide CAD$200,000 for a combined total of CAD$400,000. The Riftworld Productions Inc. based in Canada will work with Reed SPRL located in Belgium to create the innovative multiplatform project.

Riftworld: Heroes is a fantasy-themed dueling game for mobile platforms (iOS et Android) that invites players to role play as a wizard in the Riftworld universe, engage and compete with other players, and experience an interactive and immersive story. It is an asynchronous mage dueling game, which encourages the user to learn the language of magic through the stories of the comic book, the website, and web series.

Since the inception of this incentive with Wallimage in 2014, four projects received a combined total of CAD$1M. For more information on projects financed by the CMF, please access the Funded Projects Database.
