CMF contributes $3M to fund 11 Diverse Languages Projects

Toronto, November 16, 2017 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today $3M in funding to 11 convergent projects that applied to the Diverse Languages Program. The Program supports productions that reflect Canada’s diversity by funding projects in languages other than English, French, or Aboriginal languages.

Of the 11 projects, four are children’s and youth productions, four are documentaries, and three are dramas. Audiences will enjoy productions in Cantonese, Italian, Mandarin, Urdu and Spanish.

Since 2010, the CMF has provided $16.9M to 79 projects as part of its Diverse Languages Program.
