CMF contributes $3M to fund 11 Diverse Languages Projects

Toronto, November 8, 2018 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today $3M in funding to 11 convergent projects that applied to the Diverse Languages Program. The Program supports productions that reflect Canada’s diversity by funding projects in languages other than English, French, or Aboriginal languages.

Of the 11 projects, nine are documentaries, and two are children’s and youth projects. Audiences will enjoy projects in Arabic, Italian, Russian, Tagalog, Ukrainian and Spanish.

Since 2010, the CMF has invested $20.4M in 91 projects as part of its Diverse Languages Program.
