CMF allocates nearly $7M for the prototyping of 31 interactive digital media projects
Toronto, December 3, 2025 — The Canada Media Fund (CMF) today announced a total investment of $6,984,684 in 31 interactive digital media (IDM) projects at the prototyping stage.
The selected projects are 29 video games and two interactive/immersive experiences. 12 hail from Quebec, seven from Ontario, six from Alberta, five from British Columbia, and one from Newfoundland and Labrador. 16 will be prototyped in English and 15 are bilingual.
The Prototyping Program allocates funding to projects at the early stages of building a product to demonstrate its intended functionalities and design. Specifically, this phase is for experimenting, testing, and validating different concepts and hypotheses to arrive at a first functional prototype.
