43 projects receive a total of $10.5M through the CMF Convergent Digital Media Incentive

Toronto, October 11, 2017 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today an investment of $10.5M to 43 projects that applied for funding through the 2017-2018 Convergent Digital Media Incentive. The Incentive is designed to encourage the production of digital media components that are related to CMF-funded television productions, so as to provide audiences with the opportunity to access content on different platforms.

Of the 43 selected projects, 22 are in English and 21 in French; eight are children’s and youth projects, 14 are documentaries, 18 are drama projects, and three are in the Variety and Performing Arts genre. To view a list of projects that received funding, please click here.

Including this round of funding, since 2010, the CMF has invested more than $76.7M in 454 projects that received funding through the Convergent Digital Media Incentive.
