CMF appoints Maurice Boucher as director of marketing and communications
The Canada Media Fund (CMF) today announced the appointment of Maurice Boucher as director of marketing and communications. In the course of his duties, Boucher will support the strategic objectives of the CMF by providing opinions and advice on internal and external communications to the board of directors and executive team. He will develop and implement communications and marketing strategies that promote the image and presence of the organization among its stakeholders, supervise ongoing development and management of media relations and manage the communications team and resources.
Maurice Boucher has worked in marketing and communications for over 20 years. During this time, he has held various senior positions in some of Montreal’s most prestigious organizations, including the Canadian Centre for Architecture, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (as head of its department of public relations, sales and marketing) and, more recently, at Télé-Québec as chief of public and media relations. He was also the first general manager of Destination centre-ville, the downtown Montreal commercial development association — the largest local business organization of its kind in Canada.
Maurice Boucher has also worked as a marketing and communications consultant, developing customized programs for a full range of clients in various fields. As an experienced communicator, he is a recipient of the Canadian Public Relations Society Award of Excellence.
