CMF, Ontario Creates allocate $278K in development funding to 14 interactive digital media projects

Toronto, May 29, 2025 — The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Ontario Creates (OC) today announced the 14 projects selected to receive a total of $278K in development funding. This investment is allocated through the 2024-2025 edition of the Ontario Creates-CMF IDM Futures Forward Program.

Launched in 2022, the joint CMF-OC program funds early-stage, interactive digital media (IDM) development projects from emerging Ontario companies owned by individuals from Indigenous and Equity-Deserving Communities, and those who completed Ontario Creates’ Futures Forward training program. Successful applicants can secure up to $20,000 in development funding for new video games, short-form web series, mobile content, E-learning content, XR experiences, or digital publishing projects.
