CMF to invest over $7.7M in 26 documentary projects through POV program

Toronto, August 1, 2024 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) today announced a $7,740,000 investment in 26 documentary projects through our Point-of-View (POV) Program.  

Of this amount, $5,190,000 will be invested in 15 English-language projects. The successful applicants are production companies based in British Columbia (one), Quebec (four), and Ontario (10).  

$2,550,000 will be invested in 11 French-language documentaries. The selected production companies are all established in Quebec.

The Point-of-View (POV) Program is designed to encourage one-off, point-of-view documentary production for both English and French markets.
