Encore+ YouTube channel reaches 150,000 subscribers and 40M views milestones
Toronto, July 2, 2021 – Encore+, the YouTube channel showcasing iconic Canadian content from seasons past, recently attained two important milestones; 150K YouTube users from around the globe have subscribed to the channel, and viewed curated, exceptional Canadian content 40M times. Launched in 2017, the channel continues to garner an impressive following and viewership rate.
Created in partnership with YouTube Canada and Canada’s film and television producers, distributors, broadcasters, unions, guilds and industry associations, Encore+ features thousands of acclaimed Canadian feature films, documentaries and television shows in English, French and by Indigenous creators. Encore+ offers content for all ages and across genres – free to view at any time and on any screen – to the world.

Created as a discoverability catalyst to stimulate demand for outstanding content, multiple productions launched on Encore+ have now been licensed by alternate platforms. Currently, approximately 70 percent the platform’s viewership is from international audiences.
