Six projects receive $5.3M in funding through Francophone Minority Program

The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced $5.3M in funding for six projects as part of the second round of financing under the Francophone Minority Program. Part of the CMF’s Convergent Stream, this program supports television and digital media productions that reflect the realities of living in French-language communities outside Québec.

With successful applicants from Manitoba, Nova Scotia, and Ontario, audiences will have a chance to enjoy new French-language productions that highlight various regions of the country.

These new investments bring the total funding of Francophone minority projects in 2022-2023 to $11M, following the $5.7M allocated through the first round of funding, which funded 15 projects.
