Valerie Creighton receives Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (Saskatchewan)
Valerie Creighton, President and CEO of the Canada Media Fund, has received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal from the province of Saskatchewan for her lifelong work as a visionary leader in arts and culture.
The recognition comes on the heels of the Lifetime Achievement Award Valerie received last month from her alma mater, the University of Regina, as well The Hollywood Reporter’s distinction earlier this month as one of the 20 most powerful women in global entertainment.
For her lifelong contributions to Canada’s film and television industry, and leadership in the arts, Valerie has received numerous accolades, including being inducted into the Order of Canada and the Saskatchewan Order of Merit.
The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal celebrates the 70th anniversary year of Her Late Majesty’s Accession to the Throne by recognizing the outstanding merit or distinguished service of Canadians who make a major difference through contributions in various fields of activity.
