CMF commits over $8.5M in production funding to 15 Indigenous projects
Toronto, August 1, 2024 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) today announced an $8,525,000 investment in 15 Indigenous projects through our Indigenous Program. The selected projects include nine documentaries, four dramas, and two children and youth series.
The successful applicants are production companies established in Alberta (two), Manitoba (five), Quebec (four), Nunavut (two), and Saskatchewan (two).
Applications for funding through this program were evaluated by a jury composed of professionals from Indigenous communities. The jurors for this edition of the program were Asia Youngman, Danielle Rochette, Jamie-Lee Reardon, Joshua Nilson, Rachel-Alouki Labbé, and Rhayne Vermette.
