CMF launches new Iteration Program to maximize continued success for interactive digital media projects

Toronto, October 3, 2024 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) today launched the Iteration Program to support the creation of new content for CMF-funded interactive digital media (IDM) projects that have demonstrated marketplace success.  

Under this pilot program, eligible applicants may obtain up to $350,000 for a new phase of work to build on the success of a previously CMF-funded project and maximize opportunities for increased audience reach and engagement. At least 30 per cent of the program's budget will be reserved for projects meeting the definition of Diverse Community (Ownership) Project or Gender Balance (Ownership) Project

Work proposed can include, but is not limited to: 

  • New content, features, or levels. 
  • Porting to an additional digital platform. 
  • Localization for new language market(s).

Funding will be allocated to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis until depletion of the program's budget. The CMF will be accepting applications for funding starting November 12, 2024
