CMF Launches Revamped Website

TORONTO, ON – March 22, 2012 – Today, the Canada Media Fund (CMF) launched its new website cmf-fmc.ca.  The site has been completely redesigned to provide the industry with quick and easy access to all the information on the CMF and its programs.

With improved navigation, the new site provides straightforward access to valuable information on guidelines, the application process, industry partnerships, and details on outreach and consultation. It offers quick access to the latest CMF news including program updates and application deadlines, and showcases successful past and present CMF-funded projects including television shows and innovate digital media projects that have caught the attention of Canadians and audiences around the world.  Users will be able to access all the information via the quick links section as well as through a new search function.

The CMF website now features Trendscape, an industry trends blog that aims to identify and explain the latest developments in content consumption habits, technology, financing and regulatory matters and their impacts on the industry.  Users can also access the CMF Twitter feeds directly on the home page.

The website was redesigned as the result of ongoing consultation with industry stakeholders. Since its inception two years ago, it has grown to become an increasingly important reference tool for all content producers – a “one-stop-shop” on funding applications that now provides a seamless user experience.
