CMF thanks federal government for additional investment of $40M
Toronto, March 28, 2023 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) thanks the Government of Canada for its commitment in the 2023 federal budget to contribute an additional $40M over the next two years to the CMF.
“I am pleased to see the federal government’s ongoing support for Canada’s audiovisual sector,” says Valerie Creighton, President & CEO, CMF. “We believe that this new investment is a first step towards the government’s commitment to double its annual contribution to the CMF, which will bolster the domestic content production sector in both linear and immersive media production and contribute to Canada’s economic recovery.”
