CMF allocates nearly $27M to 63 projects through Distributor Program

Toronto, November 21, 2025 — The Canada Media Fund today announced that 63 projects—44 in English and 19 in French—will receive a total of $26,897,000 through the second edition of our Distributor Program.  

Successful 2025–2026 Distributor Program applicants include 25 Children and Youth productions, 24 Documentary projects, 12 Dramas, and two productions in the Variety and Performing Arts genre.  

26 of the selected projects will be produced in Ontario, 26 more in Quebec, five in British Columbia, three in Manitoba, two in Nova Scotia, and one in Alberta.

Launched in October 2024, the Distributor Program offers more flexibility to CMF applicants by allowing financial contributions from eligible Canadian distributors to solely unlock CMF funding, without the requirement of a Canadian broadcaster.
