CMF releases trailer for Lights, Camera, Inclusion season 3
Toronto, November 6, 2024 – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) today released the trailer for the third season of Lights, Camera, Inclusion, a video series by our editorial platform Now & Next that focuses on issues relating to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in the Canadian screen industries.
In the new season, titled “Children and Youth Content Matters,” Now & Next lead editor Gaëlle Essoo traveled to Toronto and Montreal, meeting with top figures in kids’ content. Over the course of five engaging discussions, we learn not to underestimate young audiences, never to discount the power of children and youth stories, and that authentically diverse stories require means, adaptability, and intention.
The Season 3 guests are:
- Rennata and Georgina Lopez, executive producers and cofounders of Lopii Productions.
- Sinking Ship Entertainment executive producer, director, and partner JJ Johnson.
- Dr. Kris Alexander, associate professor of game design at the Toronto Metropolitan University, and director of the Redbull gaming hub.
- Judith Beauregard and Florence Roche, producers and Tobo co-CEOs, and Marya Zarif, writer and director of animated series Dounia.
- Simon Villeneuve, filmmaker and producer at the helm of Andicha Média and Francis Papillon, creative director.
Starting November 13, 2024, Lights, Camera, Inclusion episodes will be released every Wednesday over five weeks. Viewers can watch on the CMF’s website and YouTube channel.
