New deadline for Canada – Italy Codevelopment Incentive for Documentary Projects program
(Toronto, October 26, 2015) – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) would like to inform all applicants of a change to the closing date for the Canada – Italy Codevelopment Incentive for Documentary Projects program. Applicants can now submit their applications until December 9, 2015.
In addition to the new closing date, the CMF is reducing the threshold for broadcasters from 25% to 10%.
The Canada – Italy Codevelopment Incentive for Documentary Projects’ budget is set at CAD $200,000, with each partner investing half of the total amount. Eligible documentary projects must be a one-off documentary of at least 31 minutes intended for broadcast by an eligible Canadian broadcaster, and must involve at least one Canadian producer and one Italian producer.
Projects will be evaluated by representatives of the CMF and Directorate General Cinema of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism (DGC).

Find a Coproducer Portal
In order to facilitate creatives from both countries working together, the Canada Media Fund has setup a Find a Producer portal for both Canadian and Italian creatives to register online.
