REMINDER: Register to attend CMF focus group – registration now live
Toronto, September 4, 2018 — As announced on July 19, the Canada Media Fund (CMF) will embark on a cross-country consultation starting on September 10 in Moncton, New-Brunswick as part of a comprehensive, national consultation process. The consultation includes focus groups in 18 cities, in all provinces and territories. If you would like to attend one of the consultation sessions, please register by clicking here.
For complete continuously updated event details, please refer to the CMF website.
During the focus groups, CMF stakeholders will have an opportunity to consider how significant shifts in content consumption habits, rapidly-evolving market conditions, as well as policy and regulatory changes will impact the CMF’s funding programs, particularly in light of the government’s Creative Canada Policy Framework and the recently-launched review of the Telecommunications and Broadcasting Acts.
Feedback received from stakeholders will contribute to shaping CMF policy and programs for the foreseeable future.
All documents presented and discussed during the consultation process will be posted to the CMF website. Please note that the CMF publishes correspondence it receives as part of its industry consultation process on its website, unless otherwise specified by the author.
CMF stakeholders are invited to share comments and questions via the CMF website’s Feedback section or through our social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook by using the hashtag #CMFConsults.
