Francophone Minority Program

The Francophone Minority Program supports productions which reflect the realities of living in French-language communities outside of Quebec. Funding under this Program is open to Canadian companies located outside of Quebec who produce primarily in French.

As part of the CMF’s Convergent Stream, projects funded must include content to be developed and produced for distribution on at least two platforms, one of which must be television.

Francophone Minority Program – Development and Predevelopment – Additional Funding

The CMF has added funds to the Development and Predevelopment portion of its Francophone Minority Program. All of the sub-Program’s rules, including eligibility, contribution amounts, permitted number of projects per Applicant, and other information are contained in the Francophone Minority Program Guidelines.

Funding will be distributed on a first-come/first-served basis until the sub-Program’s budget is depleted or until the extended deadline of January 11, 2022, whichever comes first.

Applicants are encouraged to contact the CMF’s Program Administrator at [email protected] with any questions.

For selective deadlines only, applicants will be permitted to apply via Dialogue generally 10 days in advance of the Program’s Closing Date.
